The special session has been called and I want you to know I’m ready to get back to work.

I care about the same things you do: good jobs, quality education, and affordable health care. I will work to ensure these values are reflected in the budget and I will oppose any budget cuts that hurt our families.

I’m ready to stand against the Governor’s disastrous and unnecessary budget cuts and fight for a fair deal for all New Mexicans.

Add your name if you are ready to stand with me.

Thank you for your continued support,

Representative Elizabeth “Liz” Thomson

The Guv’s agenda has placed NM in a pathetic position. You and fellow Dem. Legislators are the biggest protection we have against her.

We are defined by how well we care for our children, elderly, poor and disabled. I appreciate your votes which reflect the fact that you always have this in mind.

We understand the financial dilemma within the State but revenue must be generated to sustain our vital educational, infrastructure, Medicaid and fundamental services.

This is NOT the time to overhaul the tax code. Yes, some “new tax revenues need to be generated” such as internet purchases, inter/intra state highway use fees (semi’s and heavy hauls are tearing up our roads as we have allowed heavier haulers) and eliminating certain corporate entitlement taxes…

    You go Liz! :-)

Something has to be done about education. We can’t continue to have cuts. Does the governor not understand this is one reason that the grades continue to fall for the schools. My daughter works at Lava Land which is one of the poorest schools with lots of immigrants and children that have behavioral problems.
